I grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan and attended the University of Saskatchewan where I completed a Bachelor Degree in Nutrition. In 1989, I moved to Alberta to complete my dietetic internship at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. My first job was in Lac La Biche working as a clinical dietitian. After 11 years, I relocated with my husband and 2 children to St. Albert. Since then, I have been fortunate to be able to work as a Registered Dietitian in clinical, community and non-profit settings.
I am passionate about the role that nutrition and an active lifestyle play in our health throughout our lives.
I am an avid runner, completing my first full marathon at the age of 50. With any luck, I will one day achieve my goal to qualify for and run the Boston Marathon. I also enjoy cooking, gardening and many outdoor activities. I always look forward to spending time with family and friends.
